Privacy Policy
Effective 3 November 2026 · applies to the GridStitch app for iPhone and iPad, version 1.0 and later
In short: GridStitch does not collect any data about you. There is no GridStitch account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your PDF charts and stitching progress are processed on your device. GridStitch has no server of its own. Optional iCloud storage and the in-app purchase are provided by Apple.
What the app stores, and where
- Your charts and progress. Imported PDFs are read on your device. The resulting project (the chart, your marked stitches, history and statistics) is saved in the app's storage on your device or, if you choose iCloud Drive, in GridStitch's iCloud Drive folder under your own Apple Account. iCloud storage and synchronization are provided by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The developer cannot access your iCloud data.
- Free trial. When you start the 14-day trial, its start date and a few local time checks are kept in your device's Keychain. Only the start date is also stored in your own iCloud key-value storage, so the same trial applies on your other devices. The developer does not receive this record.
- Purchase. The one-time Full Access purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app checks the signed purchase record on your device. The developer does not receive your payment details or Apple Account information from the app.
- Settings. App preferences are stored on your device.
- Backups and exports are files you save yourself through the Files app, to a place you choose.
What the developer receives
Nothing is sent to the developer automatically. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software and no developer upload service.
If a PDF cannot be imported, you can choose Report this PDF. It opens your email app or the share sheet with a short technical report (for example the number of pages and the reason the import stopped). The report contains no PDF, file name or chart content, and nothing is sent unless you send it yourself. If you email us, we receive what you write and your email address, and we use it only to answer you. Ask us at any time to delete your messages.
Beta testers using TestFlight may send feedback through Apple; Apple shares that feedback and crash information with the developer under Apple's privacy policy.
Children
GridStitch does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
Delete a project in the app, or delete the app to remove its local data. Data in iCloud Drive and iCloud key-value storage can be managed in your device's iCloud settings. Because the developer holds no personal data from the app, there is nothing else to request, export or delete, except emails you have sent us.

Zásady ochrany súkromia

Stručne: GridStitch o vás nezbiera žiadne údaje. Nemá vlastný účet, reklamy, analytiku ani sledovanie. Vaše PDF schémy a postup vyšívania sa spracúvajú vo vašom zariadení. GridStitch nemá vlastný server. Voliteľné úložisko iCloud a nákup v aplikácii zabezpečuje Apple.
Čo aplikácia ukladá a kam
- Vaše schémy a postup. Importované PDF sa čítajú vo vašom zariadení. Výsledný projekt (schéma, označené stehy, história a štatistiky) sa uloží v úložisku aplikácie v zariadení, alebo – ak zvolíte iCloud Drive – v priečinku GridStitch na iCloud Drive pod vaším vlastným Apple účtom. Úložisko a synchronizáciu iCloud prevádzkuje Apple podľa zásad ochrany súkromia Apple. Vývojár k vašim údajom v iCloude nemá prístup.
- Skúšobné obdobie. Keď spustíte 14-dňovú skúšku, jej začiatok a niekoľko miestnych kontrol času sa uložia v Kľúčenke (Keychain) vášho zariadenia. Len dátum začiatku sa uloží aj do vášho úložiska iCloud (key-value), aby platila tá istá skúška aj na ďalších zariadeniach. Vývojár tento záznam nedostáva.
- Nákup. Jednorazový nákup plného prístupu vybavuje výlučne Apple cez App Store. Aplikácia overí podpísaný záznam o nákupe vo vašom zariadení. Vývojár z aplikácie nedostáva vaše platobné údaje ani údaje o Apple účte.
- Nastavenia aplikácie sa ukladajú vo vašom zariadení.
- Zálohy a exporty sú súbory, ktoré si sami uložíte cez aplikáciu Súbory na miesto, ktoré si vyberiete.
Čo dostáva vývojár
Vývojárovi sa nič automaticky neposiela. Aplikácia neobsahuje analytický, reklamný ani sledovací softvér a nemá žiadnu službu na odosielanie údajov vývojárovi.
Ak sa PDF nedá naimportovať, môžete zvoliť Nahlásiť toto PDF. Otvorí sa vaša e-mailová aplikácia alebo ponuka zdieľania s krátkou technickou správou (napríklad počet strán a dôvod, prečo sa import zastavil). Správa neobsahuje PDF, názov súboru ani obsah schémy a odošle sa, len ak ju odošlete vy. Ak nám napíšete, dostaneme váš text a e-mailovú adresu a použijeme ich len na odpoveď. Kedykoľvek nás môžete požiadať o vymazanie vašich správ.
Testeri v TestFlighte môžu posielať spätnú väzbu cez Apple; Apple ju spolu s informáciami o pádoch sprístupní vývojárovi podľa zásad ochrany súkromia Apple.
Deti
GridStitch nezbiera osobné údaje od nikoho, ani od detí.
Vaše možnosti
Projekt vymažete priamo v aplikácii; vymazaním aplikácie odstránite jej miestne údaje. Údaje na iCloud Drive a v úložisku iCloud spravujete v nastaveniach iCloudu vo vašom zariadení. Keďže vývojár z aplikácie nemá žiadne osobné údaje, nie je čo ďalej žiadať, exportovať ani mazať – okrem e-mailov, ktoré ste nám poslali.
